L\u2019entente conclue avec EDF devrait repr\u00e9senter environ 20 % de la production annuelle de Ford Energy. Le PDG de Ford Motor Company, Jim Farley, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 qu\u2019\u00e0 terme, Ford Energy d\u00e9ploiera une capacit\u00e9 minimale annuelle de 20 GWh de ces syst\u00e8mes de stockage.<\/p><p>\u00c0 titre indicatif, pour satisfaire ses besoins annuels en phosphate destin\u00e9 aux batteries de ses syst\u00e8mes de stockage, Ford Energy devrait se procurer environ 50 000 tonnes de phosphate de haute puret\u00e9, soit environ 6 % de la production annuelle potentielle de 900 000 tonnes de la propri\u00e9t\u00e9 B\u00e9gin-Lamarche de First Phosphate, qui contient certains des phosphates de la plus haute qualit\u00e9 au monde.<\/p><p>De plus, de nombreux autres fabricants de syst\u00e8mes de stockage d\u2019\u00e9nergie par batterie, notamment Tesla, Inc. (NAS : TSLA), LG Energy Solution, Ltd. (KSE : 373220), BYD Company Limited (SZSE : 002594) et Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (OTC-ADR : CYATY), auront \u00e9galement besoin de phosphate de haute puret\u00e9, tout comme les constructeurs de v\u00e9hicules \u00e9lectriques et les fabricants d\u2019une grande vari\u00e9t\u00e9 d\u2019appareils \u00e9lectriques utilisant des batteries LFP. Au total, les batteries LFP repr\u00e9sentent environ 80 % de toutes les batteries produites dans le monde.<\/p><p>Une telle ampleur de la demande en batteries LFP et en phosphate de haute puret\u00e9 (qui repr\u00e9sente 61 % de la masse de la cathode d\u2019une batterie LFP) sugg\u00e8re que les gisements de phosphate ign\u00e9 deviendront de plus en plus pr\u00e9cieux pour l\u2019approvisionnement en ce mat\u00e9riau de haute puret\u00e9. En effet, plus de 90 % du phosphate ign\u00e9 de haute puret\u00e9 se transforme directement en acide phosphorique de qualit\u00e9 batterie, tout en g\u00e9n\u00e9rant des sous-produits recyclables et en minimisant les impacts environnementaux.<\/p><p>Les gisements de phosphate d\u2019anorthosite ign\u00e9e, tels que la propri\u00e9t\u00e9 B\u00e9gin-Lamarche de First Phosphate, sont extr\u00eamement rares et constituent le premier percentile de l\u2019ensemble des gisements de phosphate mondiaux. De plus, First Phosphate Corp. est le seul producteur de phosphate d\u2019anorthosite ign\u00e9e \u00e0 se consacrer enti\u00e8rement et exclusivement au d\u00e9veloppement d\u2019une cha\u00eene d\u2019approvisionnement de batteries LFP de la mine au march\u00e9 en Am\u00e9rique du Nord.<\/p><p>Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 sa strat\u00e9gie de cha\u00eene d\u2019approvisionnement en batteries LFP int\u00e9gr\u00e9e verticalement de la mine au march\u00e9, First Phosphate joue un r\u00f4le central dans l\u2019atteinte de l\u2019objectif commun de rapatriement de la cha\u00eene d\u2019approvisionnement en batteries LFP en Am\u00e9rique du Nord.
