Der EDF-Vertrag d\u00fcrfte etwa 20 % der Jahresproduktion von Ford Energy ausmachen: Jim Farley, CEO der Ford Motor Company, hat erkl\u00e4rt, dass Ford Energy langfristig eine j\u00e4hrliche Kapazit\u00e4t von mindestens 20 GWh solcher Speichersysteme bereitstellen wird.<\/p><p>Als Anhaltspunkt: Um seinen j\u00e4hrlichen Phosphatbedarf f\u00fcr die Batterien in den Speichersystemen zu decken, m\u00fcsste Ford Energy etwa 50.000 Tonnen hochreines Phosphat beschaffen \u2013 das entspricht rund 6 % der potenziellen Jahresproduktion von 900.000 Tonnen des B\u00e9gin-Lamarche-Vorkommens von First Phosphate, das zu den hochwertigsten Phosphatvorkommen der Welt z\u00e4hlt.<\/p><p>Dar\u00fcber hinaus werden viele andere Hersteller von Batterie-Energiespeichersystemen \u2013 darunter Tesla, Inc. (NAS: TSLA), LG Energy Solution, Ltd. (KSE: 373220), BYD Company Limited (SZSE: 002594) und Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (OTC-ADR: CYATY) \u2013 ebenfalls hochreines Phosphat ben\u00f6tigen, ebenso wie Elektrofahrzeughersteller und Produzenten einer Vielzahl von Elektroger\u00e4ten, die LFP-Batterien verwenden. Insgesamt machen LFP-Batterien etwa 80 % aller weltweit produzierten Batterien aus.<\/p><p>Eine derart hohe Nachfrage nach LFP-Batterien und hochreinem Phosphat \u2013 das mengenm\u00e4\u00dfig 61 % der Kathode einer LFP-Batterie ausmacht \u2013 l\u00e4sst darauf schlie\u00dfen, dass Lagerst\u00e4tten von magmatischem Phosphat als Quelle dieses hochreinen Materials zunehmend an strategischem Wert gewinnen werden. Der Grund: \u00dcber 90 % des hochreinen magmatischen Phosphats k\u00f6nnen direkt in Phosphors\u00e4ure in Batteriequalit\u00e4t umgewandelt werden, wobei verwertbare Nebenprodukte anfallen und die Umweltbelastung minimal ist.<\/p><p>Magmatische Anorthosit-Phosphatvorkommen wie das Grundst\u00fcck \u201eB\u00e9gin-Lamarche&#8221; von First Phosphate sind \u00e4u\u00dferst selten und geh\u00f6ren zu den obersten 1 % aller weltweiten Phosphatvorkommen.
